Chippa Communications
Serving the North
About
Dennis Chippa
Dennis Chippa O.Ont. has been working in the communications field in front of and behind the scenes for over thirty years. He currently holds the position of Executive Director of The Gathering Place.
During an award winning 20 year journalism career, he has been involved in the organization of numerous fundraising and awareness events throughout the North Bay community.
As a result of his work in the non-profit field over several years, he understands the importance of your event being the event to watch and the event to cover.
He has brought his dynamic, energy driven personality to many causes, including the Ontario Special Olympics, the North Bay Gathering Place Soup Kitchen, the North Bay Fire Department, the North Bay Branch of the Canadian Red Cross, and the North Bay Warming Centre.
He has experience with Volunteer Boards of Directors and brings that experience to work with the United Way in its Leadership Trainer Series, specializing in volunteer recruitment, marketing and better communication. As such, he has become a successful facilitator for meetings, strategic planning and SWOT analysis. (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats)
He is also a published children's author, as his first book, Santa Lost His Suit, was published in November of 2015, with the second published in 2016, both as part of a fundraiser for Literacy Nipissing.
